University of East Anglia: GAMSAT requirements
UEA publishes no cutoff as a matter of policy — applicants are simply ranked — and the Physician Associate course ACER still links to no longer exists.
This course does NOT use the GAMSAT
- MSc Physician Associate Studiescourse no longer exists; ACER still links to it
It appears on ACER’s own list of institutions using the GAMSAT, and that listing is wrong. We checked against UEA’s admissions pages directly. Preparation sites that build their university lists from ACER’s page inherit the error.

Every figure on this page is a number to compare yourself against, which is difficult to do without a score of your own. Our GAMSAT practice test is free, timed and marked section by section, so you can find out where you currently stand against UEA’s requirements before you spend a cycle applying to it.
What is distinctive about UEA
UEA’s silence is a policy rather than an omission. It publishes no cutoff and ranks applicants against each other. There is no overall minimum and no section floor either, so the GAMSAT does all of the ordering with nothing to clear first.
ACER’s institution list still links to UEA’s MSc Physician Associate Studies. That course no longer exists. Every preparation site that builds its university list from ACER’s page carries the same dead entry, which is a decent test of whether a source checked anything itself.

How UEA scores the GAMSAT
This institution uses ACER's published overall score.
| Scoring method | Formula used | What that means for you |
|---|---|---|
| ACER's weighted overall score | (S1 + S2 + 2 × S3) ÷ 4 | The overall score printed on your ACER statement of results. Section 3 counts double. This is the default across the market, which is exactly why the institutions that depart from it catch people out. |
UEA does not publish how the GAMSAT is weighted against the rest of the application. Not published is the honest answer; we do not estimate it.

Any site showing you a specific UEA cutoff has estimated it. Where minimums exist they are listed below, and a minimum is a floor to be eligible, not a competitive bar.
