What this site is for, and the limits on relying on it. Last updated 29 July 2026.

The three things that matter most

This site is educational material, not admissions advice. Cutoffs and fees change every year. Where anything here disagrees with the university you are applying to, the university is right.

Educational purposes only

Everything on gamsatpracticetest.com is published for general study and information. It is not personal advice, and it is not a substitute for checking the source. It cannot take account of your circumstances, because we do not know them.

Nothing here is legal, financial, medical, immigration or careers advice. If you need advice of that kind, get it from someone qualified to give it to you.

This is not admissions advice

We cannot tell you whether to apply, where to apply, whether your score is good enough, whether to resit, or how an admissions committee will read your file. We do not know your GPA, your interview performance, your portfolio, your sub-quota, or the size and strength of the field you are competing against in any given year.

Admissions decisions are made by institutions using rules they set and sometimes do not publish in full. Before you act on anything here, confirm it with the institution concerned. The contact page is explicit about the questions we are not in a position to answer.

Cutoffs and fees change annually

Every figure on this site carries the year it applies to and the date we last checked it.

A published cutoff describes a past admissions round. It tells you roughly where the bar sat that year. It does not tell you where the bar will sit for your application, and treating a historical figure as a target is the most common way to be misled by data like this.

Published figures are also not all the same kind of number. We label which is which, because printed in one column without labels they imply a ranking that does not exist.

Where we disagree with a university, the university is right

Follow the institution, then tell us.

We have no privileged access to admissions data, no relationship with any university, and no ability to confirm what a committee will do. If a figure here conflicts with the admissions page of the institution you are applying to, that page wins — and we would like to know, so we can fix ours.

The same applies to ACER on anything to do with the exam itself: format, fees, eligibility, dates, access arrangements, results and score validity. ACER is the source. We are a summary of it, made at a point in time.

Practice performance is not a predicted score

Our questions are original material written to ACER’s published specification. They are not real exam questions and this is not the exam. Your result here is a raw percentage on our material.

We deliberately do not publish a predicted GAMSAT score, because no public conversion from raw performance to a scaled score exists. Doing well here is not a guarantee, a prediction or an indication of your GAMSAT result, an interview offer, or an admission outcome. The reasoning is on scope and limitations.

Accuracy, and its limits

We verify against primary sources, we date everything, and we mark as unverified anything we could not confirm. That reduces the error rate. It does not eliminate it.

Institutions change rules mid-cycle, publish figures that contradict a central body, or withdraw a page. Some publish nothing at all. We make no warranty that this site is complete, current or error-free, and we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on it, to the extent permitted by law. The full position is in the terms of use, and our method is set out on sources and methodology.

Not affiliated with ACER

GAMSAT® is a registered trademark of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). GAMSAT Practice Test is an independent resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ACER. ACER does not endorse, review, or approve any of the preparation materials on this site. All practice questions are written independently and are not reproduced from any GAMSAT examination.

ACER publishes no list of recommended preparation providers. When asked directly which providers it recommends, its answer is “None” — which applies to us exactly as it applies to every commercial course. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise. The detail is on scope and limitations.
