University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle): GAMSAT requirements

Notre Dame Fremantle scores Casper as heavily as it scores the GAMSAT, and the 65.5 it publishes is an average of interviewees, not a cutoff.

Every figure on this page is a number to compare yourself against, which is difficult to do without a score of your own. Our GAMSAT practice test is free, timed and marked section by section, so you can find out where you currently stand against Notre Dame Fremantle’s requirements before you spend a cycle applying to it.

What is distinctive about Notre Dame Fremantle

The 65.5 Fremantle publishes is the mean score of the people it interviewed for the 2026 intake. Roughly half of them scored below it. It is not a bar, and treating it as one will talk you out of an application you were eligible to make.

Selection is 30:30:30:10 — GAMSAT, GPA, Casper, bonus points. Casper carries exactly the same weight as the GAMSAT does, which is not true at most schools and changes where preparation time is best spent.

The floors are higher than the Australian norm and the score type is different: overall 52 rather than 50, GPA 5.2 rather than 5.0, and Notre Dame uses the unweighted average rather than ACER’s weighted overall.

The portfolio is gone. It was abolished after the 2023 intake and replaced with Casper, and work experience and extracurriculars are no longer considered at all — a change that a lot of older advice has not caught up with.
