What is distinctive about UCD
UCD covers more ground than any other Irish entry here: graduate entry medicine plus two veterinary routes, DN301 and the five-year graduate entry DN300. Medicine published a cutoff of 62 for 2025 entry, the highest published Irish figure in this dataset.
The veterinary route works completely differently. DN301 is the only GAMSAT course in Ireland with a published points system: a 100-point Supplementary Application Form, scored by two assessors, split evenly across degree, bio-science training, veterinary experience, leadership and publications at 20 points each.
None of that counts at UCD Medicine, where the GAMSAT does the work. And no veterinary cutoff is published, so the points form is the only thing you can actually plan around on that route.
Veterinary needs only a 2.2 where medicine needs a 2H1. Non-EU veterinary applicants apply through VMCAS — not Atlantic Bridge, which is the assumption people carry over from the medicine route and the single easiest mistake to make at UCD.
