What is distinctive about ANU
ANU’s arithmetic is the plainest in the Australian group. Standardise the weighted GPA, standardise the overall GAMSAT, weight the two equally. Nothing else enters the shortlisting rank.
What ANU will not give you is a number to aim at. It says interviews go to “a range of GPA/GAMSAT score combinations”, and that is a statement about the mechanism rather than evasion: because the two are standardised and then added, a strong GPA genuinely does buy back a middling GAMSAT here, and the reverse. There is no single line to clear.
The 50 overall and the 50 in each section are eligibility floors. They remove a small number of applicants and tell you nothing whatsoever about how competitive you are.
