GradReady review
The largest GAMSAT preparation provider in Australia, and the one whose marketing claims are quoted most often without being checked. Here is what is verifiable, what is a provider claim, and what nobody can currently confirm.

Pricing
Two caveats before you read the table, both of which change the real number.
Prices are early-bird and exclude GST
GradReady’s own pricing page notes the figures are early-bird and exclude 10% GST. A listed A$999 is therefore around A$1,099 including tax, and more once early-bird pricing lapses. Compare against the ACER registration fee, which is GST-inclusive — the two are not like-for-like as published.

One thing we could not establish, and it is material: how long your access lasts. GradReady’s pricing page does not state a duration for any tier. For a product bought a year before some candidates sit, that is worth asking directly before you pay.
The guarantee people think exists
There is no GAMSAT score guarantee
GradReady advertises a “Full Refund If No Interview Offers Received” guarantee. It applies to InterviewReady only — the separate MMI interview product.
No GAMSAT preparation tier carries a score or money-back guarantee, including the A$5,499 one. If a guarantee is part of why you are considering a premium tier, check which product it actually attaches to before paying.
The headline claim in their marketing — an “average improvement of 20+ percentile points, 11 years in a row” — is a provider claim with no published methodology, no cohort definition and no independent verification. We are not saying it is false. We are saying it is unverifiable as published, and no reader should weight it as evidence.

What independent reports actually say
Genuinely polarised, with a consistent pattern underneath the split.
Candidate opinion on r/GAMSAT divides sharply, and we are not going to average it into a score out of ten. The negative end is blunt — “DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I did the course and its all very surface level information, not useful whatsoever. Essay feedbacks are not so bad.” The positive end is equally specific — “I am happy with how GradReady taught me. I was finding it particularly difficult to get a grip on how my essays should be and I dramatically improved.”
Note what those two have in common. Across threads the pattern is consistent, and it is more useful than either verdict:
- Section 2 essay feedback is the consistently praised component — even the negative review above concedes it.
- Science content is consistently criticised as shallow relative to price.
Which gives a fairly clear rule of thumb
If your weakness is Section 2, marked essay feedback is a genuinely hard thing to get elsewhere, and the tiers are effectively priced per essay marked — 8 at A$999, 30 at A$5,499. That is the case where GradReady is buying you something real.
If your weakness is Section 3 science, the recurring criticism is precisely that this is the shallow part. Free and cheap alternatives exist for timed science practice, including oursand ACER’s own official material — and we would rather you spent A$46 on Practice Test B first and found out.

The broader point, which applies to every provider on this site: ACER’s own position is that preparation courses are “not recommended, authorised by, or in any way associated with, ACER or the graduate-entry schools”, and it produced its free preparation videos after observing “doubtful claims made by GAMSAT commercial preparation courses”. Start with the free official material. Buy a course when you have identified a specific weakness it addresses — not before.
